Status: Relief - no guaranteed hours Positions: 3 positions available
Availability Required: Must be available approx. 50% of full time
Position Description: Responsible to the Administrator and under the direct supervision of the Team Leader, the CCA assists clients/patients/residents and special needs individuals to meet their needs through activities of daily living, inclusive of physical, spiritual and emotional needs. Helps these individuals to maintain as much independence as possible in a safe environment. The employee will be responsible to provide direct care and monitoring of clients, and permanent residents. The employee will record in resident records and care plans. The employee will cooperate with other departments and follow therapy guidelines, established standards and regulations and facility policies.
Qualifications: Grade X, Continuing Care Assistant certificate, valid driver's license, where required. Applicants who do not meet the stated qualifications will be considered in accordance with the LOU - "Uncertified Aides/Attendants in Long Term Care and Home Care".
