Pay Grade: As Per SAHO/CUPE Agreement
Qualifications: Grade X, One (1) year Continuing Care Assistant course, valid driver's license, where required. Applicants who do no meet the stated qualifications will be considered in accordance with LOU - "Uncertified Aides/Attendants in Long Term Care and Home Care."
Description: Responsible to the Administrator/RCC and under the direct supervision of the Team Leader, the CCA assists clients/patients/residents and special needs individuals to meet their needs through activities of daily living, inclusive of physical, spiritual and emotional needs. Helps these individuals to maintain as much independence as possible in a safe environment. The employee will be responsible to provide direct care and monitoring of clients and permanent residents. The employee will record in resident records and care plans. The employee will cooperate with other departments and follow therapy guidelines, established standards and regulations and facility policies.
