PERMANENT RELIEF JOB POSTING

Job Classification: Recreation Worker Department: Recreation

Pay Grade: As per SAHO/CUPE Agreement No of Positions: 1 position

Status: Relief - no guaranteed hours Qualifications: Grade 12

Availability Required: Must be available approx. 50% of full time

Description: Responsible to the Administrator and working directly with Recreation Staff, the Recreation Worker:

  1. Delivers, monitors, and records in resident/client records on recreational activities, events, and programs
  2. Facilitates activities; encourages and assists with resident interaction
  3. Encourages/assists with meal and hydration
  4. Assist with resident/client mobility programs
  5. Contacts and involves family members and community group in activities and events
  6. Cooperates with other departments and follows therapy guidleines, established standards, regulations and facility policies.

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Varying shift lengths. May be required to work days and evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.
