Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 4 weeks

Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period

Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician Coordinator $32.302 to $39.497

Job Description: The EMS Coordinator is accountable for the day to day co-ordination, planning, general logistics, operations and delivery of Emergency Medical Services in their community with strict adherence to the Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations, and Saskatchewan Health Authority policies, procedures and protocols.

Experience

  • Minimum of two years' experience as a practicing Primary Care Paramedic.

Education

  • Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 4 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Certificate is acceptable
  • Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
  • CPR/AED Provider Certification

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Ability to competently use computers and software applications
