Job Description:

Emergency Medical Technician Paramedics are responsible for providing emergent and non-emergent Advanced Life Support (ALS) services to the sick and injured, and for continuing to provide ALS medical services until responsibility for patient care can be assumed by hospital authorities.

Licenses

  • Valid Class 4 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Pre-Hospital Care Program - Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) Level

Competencies

  • Advanced - Interpersonal skills
  • Advanced - Communication skills

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to work independently

  • Registered/eligible with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at ACP/EMT-P
  • Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
