The Dr. F. H Wigmore Regional Hospital requires the services of 1 part-time (0.5 FTE) Emergency Room Physician. As part of the Emergency Medicine team, the physician will be responsible for providing clinical medical services to individuals presenting to the emergency department.
The successful candidate will work with a team of 7 physicians to provide on-site coverage in the Emergency Department at the Dr. F. H. Wigmore Regional Hospital on a 24 hour, 7 day-a-week basis. The ER Physician will serve as an important member of an integrated team at the Hospital and will collaborate with others across the provincial health system to advance the Emergency Department Waits and Patient Flow Initiative.
The successful candidate may be eligible for (depending on program requirements and eligibility):
Candidates are expected to provide a high quality emergency medical service and demonstrate relevant emergency room experience and certification (minimum of ACLS, ATLS, PALS and ECG Interpretation).
The successful candidate must also be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan and have current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage. In accordance with Canadian Foreign Worker requirements, preference will be given to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada.
