Kliniek on Main Primary Health Care Clinic in Moose Jaw is looking for a 1.0 FTE family physician to join their team. This modern, efficient office uses an electronic health record (Med Access) and provides initial comprehensive assessments, care and follow up to Moose Jaw area residents and Newcomers (government-assisted refugees). The Physician may be asked to provide visiting services to nearby Central Butte which includes clinic duties as well as overseeing care of long-term care patients. Physicians have the opportunity for inpatient care for their patients. Night call is required for this position for your inpatients, in a call rotation with your colleagues.
The successful candidate must hold a license or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan. Preference will be given to University of Saskatchewan graduates and individuals with strong ties to Saskatchewan. This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family-centered care. In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
The Rural Physician Incentive Program (RPIP) which provides up to $200,000 over five years to family physicians practicing, or returning to practice, in rural and remote communities in Saskatchewan. The SMA Retention Fund, which provides financial reward to physicians who practice in the province for extended periods ranging from $7,000 - $14,000 per year for fulltime work.

The "Friendly City" of Moose Jaw is the fourth largest city in Saskatchewan; located in the south-central part of the province, along the Trans-Canada Highway. The Regina International Airport is a short 45 minute drive to the east. Moose Jaw, with a population of 34,000, offers excellent public/Catholic/francophone education opportunities and many recreational, cultural and entertainment amenities.
The Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital:
The "Wigmore Hospital" is a brand-new state of the art facility with 72 inpatient beds including an intensive care unit. We provide full obstetrical services, as well as general surgery, gynecology, urology, orthopedics and ophthalmology. Other specialty services available include pediatrics, internal medicine, pathology, radiology (diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, CT, MRI). There is opportunity for participation in teaching through the University of Saskatchewan, College of Medicine programs.
