Job Description

The successful candidate will join our team to provide comprehensive orthopedic services to the patients of southwest Saskatchewan at Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital. The scope of practice includes inpatient and outpatient care, emergency consults and specialist on-call coverage. Elective OR runs from 0800 to 1600 hours. Call is 1:3. The start date for this position is July 2025.

Job Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a Fellow (or be eligible for Fellowship) with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) in Orthopedics. Candidates should be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).

This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family-centered care.

In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada. The start date for this position is July 2025. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

The Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital:
The "Wigmore Hospital" is a brand-new state of the art facility with 72 inpatient beds including an intensive care unit. We provide full obstetrical services, as well as general surgery, gynecology, urology, orthopedics and ophthalmology. Other specialty services available include pediatrics, internal medicine, pathology, radiology (diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, CT, MRI). There is opportunity for participation in teaching through the University of Saskatchewan, College of Medicine programs.
