Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Acute Care Services and Long Term Residential Care, the Facility Administrator is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the day to day operational activities of acute and long term patient/resident care/services/programs for the Porcupine Carragana Hospital and the Red Deer Nursing Home. The Facility Administrator ensures the health care services provided meet the vision, mission and values of Kelsey Trail Health Region and that these services remain within the allocated financial resources. The Facility Administrator ensures quality care/services/programs through the implementation of policies and standards that meet best practice. The Facility Administrator participates in a team concept of management, accepting responsibilities associated with ensuring the coordination of acute and long term care health services in the Porcupine Carragana Hospital and Red Deer Nursing Home. The Facility Administrator is accountable for ensuring safety for patients, residents, clients and visitors. The Facility Administrator provides the overall management of the facility in the absence of the Departmental Directors. The Facility Administrator collaborates with all department Directors establishing a communication network to encourage problem solving strategies and an open line of communication between all departments.
