Job Description: Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalist who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS.

Experience

  • Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset

Education

  • Successful completion of a recognized accredited PA educational program

Licenses

  • Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a Physician Assistant
  • Certified with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants

  • Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (PALS) an asset
  • HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria
  • Valid driver's license, where required
