Family Physician
Job Description
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) invites applications for a Family Physician to join a family practice at the Redvers Medical Centre. This physician will work collaboratively with other medical professionals to provide clinical services to Redvers and Carnduff, with possible expansion to other community centres.
This position offers:
- Fee For Service billing with a guaranteed base salary from the S.E Medical Group
- No clinic overhead, parking fees or staffing expenses

Facility Information:
- Redvers Medical Centre is located within the Redvers Health Centre which also houses Acute Care and Long Term Care wings.
- 24 Hour Emergency Services
- 6 Acute care beds and 2 Alternate level care beds
- Medical Clinic (Monday to Friday)
- Therapy and Counselling Services
- Lab & X-ray Department including upgraded diagnostic equipment and emergency ultrasound
The Community:
- Saskatchewan is located in western Canada between the provinces of Alberta and Manitoba, and just to the north of the U.S. states of North Dakota and Montana. Its latest growth figures place it first among western provinces and second amongst all Canadian provinces and territories. Its current population sits around 1.10 million (2016). Saskatchewan also boasts two National Parks and 34 Provincial Parks, among more than two million hectares/five million acres of parkland.
- Redvers is a farming and oil field town located near the Manitoba boarder and is home to approximately 1,000 people.
- Elementary and High School education are available at Redvers School. If you are seeking bilingual education options, École de Bellegarde is a francophone education option located just 13 minutes from Redvers in the community of Bellegarde.

Job Qualifications
Applicants must have or be eligible for a provisional or regular license to practice in Saskatchewan as well as certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). Applicants must also have ACLS certification, an acceptable criminal record check (with vulnerable sector check, and 3 acceptable references).
This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.
In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
The SHA is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the growing educational needs of medical students and residents from the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. The successful applicant is expected to participate in the undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs of the Department of Family Medicine in the Southeast Area.
