The Regina Area with the Saskatchewan Health Authority has a wonderful opportunity for an Endocrinologist to join our Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology to provide service to a large referral base comprising Regina and southern Saskatchewan and to build a busy practice in an up to date setting. The area and division are committed to assisting our members to achieve a balanced lifestyle.
Hours of work are typically between 0800 hours to 1800 hours inclusive with on call obligations after hours. The successful candidate will participate fully in the Specialist Emergency Coverage Program (SECP) tier 2 call rotation as established by the Division of Endocrinology, Department of Medicine and for that would share in on call stipend consistent with SECP. On call obligations will occur in a frequency of 1:4 and are shared amongst 3 other Endocrinologists.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing their own office in the community of Regina as well as be responsible for all necessary costs, including overhead, staffing support and lease arrangements as part of this arrangement.

The University of Saskatchewan is a research-intensive institution with 22,000 students and 7,000 faculty and staff, and a strong reputation for innovation and excellence. The College of Medicine has an intake of 100 students per year with a commensurate number of positions for residency training. The Department of Medicine has distributed training sites in Saskatoon and Regina.
Successful candidates will hold certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology & Metabolism and be eligible for provisional or regular licensure from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) to practice in Saskatchewan.
This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.
The successful applicant is expected to participate in the undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs of the Department of Medicine in the Regina Area and will be appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan.
