Introduction: Health Shared Services Saskatchewan (3sHealth) is a body corporate incorporated under the laws of Saskatchewan. In connection with the Province of Saskatchewan's Shared Services Initiative, 3sHealth has assumed the role of the provincial shared-services organization to provide province-wide shared services to support a high performing, sustainable, patient and family centered health system in connection with the Saskatchewan healthcare system.
3sHealth's customers include the Saskatchewan Health Authority, eHealth Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, Saskatchewan's independent hospitals and special care homes, as well as various agencies and associations that provide health services, education and/or regulations in Saskatchewan.
3sHealth administers the Employee Benefit Plan Trusts which provide benefits to 46,000 active plan members and 15,000 retirees representing 80 health care employers in Saskatchewan. The Employee Benefit Plan Trusts include four (4) Disability Income Plans, Group Life Insurance, Core Dental, two (2) Extended Health Care and Enhanced Dental Plans, Out-of-Scope Flexible Spending Plan, Retired Plan Member Life Insurance Benefit, and the Retiree Health and Dental Plan. Together, the Employee Benefit Plan Trusts have over $500M in assets under management. The Trusts are governed by the Employee Benefit Plans Board of Trustees, a collectively bargained Employee Benefit Plans Committee composed of union and management representatives, and a Working Committee composed of Union representatives. The Committees make recommendations to the Board of Trustees who have the ultimate decision-making authority and fiduciary responsibility for the Trusts. 3sHealth is appointed as the administrator of the Employee Benefit Plan Trusts by the Board of Trustees.
To support the administration of disability income plan benefits, 3sHealth is seeking physicians and other medical practitioners who may be interested in providing medical consulting services to our Employee Benefits team.
We invite you to submit an expression of interest to provide Psychiatrist consulting services to the Employee Benefit Plans.
Key deliverables include:
Your proposal must include the following.
1. Education and Licensing
a. Doctorate (MD) or equivalent degree in Medicine.
b. Hold certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Psychiatry and in good standing.
c. Any relevant continuing education or updated courses.
2. Experience
a. Relevant clinical experience in the psychiatry field and demonstrated knowledge of mental health and addictions medicine.
b. Specialized psychiatric clinical experience and treatment of acute and long-term mental health and addictions clients.
c. Knowledge of Saskatchewan provincial laws and regulations governing forensic psychiatry including The Mental Health Services Act would be considered an asset.
d. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in psychiatry.
e. Experience with disability income plans and benefits administration is desirable.
f. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
g. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
h. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
i. Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in disability benefits.
3. Qualifications
a. Resume, including confirmation of Canadian medical licensure, education and qualifications.
Price Fee for Services
a. An hourly contracted rate of $320.00 (three hundred and twenty Canadian dollars).
