The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), Regina Area, invites applications for a full-time Family Medicine Physician position within the Central Health Network (CHN), with a portion of the time also supporting the North Health Network. This role will primarily involve supporting the Al Ritchie Heritage Community Health Center and providing one day a week of service to the communities of Regina Beach, Southey, and Cupar. The Central Network also supports outreach work within the community and collaborates with various Community-Based Organizations (CBOs).
The Centres are honoured to work with Elders and Knowledge Keepers to continue to evolve our services to better meet the needs of our patients. Among its offerings, the Center focuses on addressing the unique healthcare needs of clients, including general primary healthcare, chronic disease management, and walk-ins. The Centers practice a shared care model and offer EMR (Electronic Medical Records), an interdisciplinary team that includes nurse practitioners and clinical assistants, and access to other support services such as chronic disease management, home care, public health, counselling, phlebotomy, and many other visiting providers.
The SHA is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the growing educational needs of medical students and residents from the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan.
The University of Saskatchewan is a research-intensive institution with 22,000 students and 7,000 faculty and staff and a strong reputation for innovation and excellence. The College of Medicine has an intake of 100 students per year with a commensurate number of positions for residency training.
