Job Description: Performs a variety of specialized diagnostic technical procedures utilizing radiation equipment for the diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology. Specialty disciplines are: Mammography, Angiography (IR), Computerized Tomography

Human Resources Exemption: No

Education

  • Medical Radiologic Technology diploma (MRT)

Experience:

  • Two (2) years experience as Medical Radiation Technologist

Licenses

  • Certified by Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
  • Registered with Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
  • Registered College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Professionals of Saskatchewan

Other Education and Training

  • CAMRT CT imaging courses 1 and 2 are required
  • Courses may be completed on the job for a suitable applicant
  • Drug administration and intravenous injection training, where required
  • Mammography training/certificate, as required
  • Angiography training/certificate, as required
  • Computerized Tomography training/certificate, as required

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently

Other Information

  • On call is required. This is a CT specialty position.
