Job Description: The Renal Program Access Nurse is accountable to the Clinical Manager, Renal Program. The Access Nurse, as a member of the Renal multidisciplinary team, will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring and interventional planning for clients requiring a Hemodialysis vascular access. The incumbent will integrate knowledge, experience and skill in providing quality, client-centered care and improved access creation outcomes.

Experience

  • Five (5) years recent clinical Renal experience is required.
  • Experience in education or adult teaching is required.
  • Previous experience in program development, implementation and evaluation is desired.

Education

  • Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Licenses

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

  • Computer skills, where required
  • This position provides support to the Regina General Hospital & Wascana Rehabilitation Centre
