Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager, the Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) integrates knowledge and skill reflective of the Health Services model of care and principles of adult learning, in the provision of education, research, and quality client centered care for a defined group of clients and programs. The incumbent will provide visible, proactive leadership and promote the delivery of client centered care through identified education programming. In collaboration with their Manager, the CNE is responsible for assessing learning needs of staff, planning, implementing, and evaluating education activities/programs. The Clinical Nurse Educator will use a consultative approach and research findings to provide support to health care professionals as appropriate. Positions will have specific responsibilities related to specialized client needs and clinical knowledge within designated units/programs in the Saskatchewan Health Authority (f/RQHR).

Experience

  • Experience in teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities
  • One (1) year experience in adult education
  • Requires experience in planning, program design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Five (5) years clinical experience

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Other Education and Training

  • Comparable degree in education/adult learning may be considered.
