Job Description: The Occupational Therapist - Degree - Senior is a member of the Functional Rehabilitation Program (FRP) and provides their clinical expertise and experience to provide tertiary assessment and treatment to clients covered by SGI and/or WCB. Through their experience, education and post-graduate training they have become proficient in the assessment and relevant treatment of disabling conditions that may affect their client's function. In collaboration with the other team members, they strive to improve the function of their clients and facilitate a return to work and/or a more productive and independent lifestyle.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

  • Two (2) years in the last five (5) years clinical experience
  • Experience working w/ clients in a rehabilitation/community-based setting

Education

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • WorkWell Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) accreditation

  • Knowledge of treatment of musculoskeletal and cognitive conditions.
  • Knowledge of Health Information Protection Act and other legislation.
  • Demonstrates ability to apply research and theory to practice
