Job Description

We are seeking a team-orientated and highly skilled Pediatric General Surgeon to join our team of Pediatric General Surgeons.

Regina hosts the region's pediatric surgical services, obstetrical program, pediatric care, a neonatal ICU unit, and pediatric oncology services.

Hours of work are typically 0800 hours to 1700 hours with on call obligations after hours.

Excellent support from Maternal-Fetal-Medicine (prenatal diagnosis) and neonatology.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is dedicated to learning, and is a partner in the growing educational needs of medical students and residents from the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan.

Job Qualifications

  • The successful candidate will be a Fellow (or be eligible for Fellowship) with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Pediatric Surgery. Candidates should be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
  • This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.
  • The successful applicant is expected to participate in the undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs of the Department of Surgery in the Regina Area.
  • The start date for this position is negotiable. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
