Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Perfusionist $50.839 to $62.017

Job Description:

Under the direction of the Manager of Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Support, and under the supervision of the Senior Clinical Perfusionist, the incumbent will be a member of the Cardiovascular and Critical Care team supporting all aspects of perfusion services including cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB), extra corporeal life support (ECLS), and facets of blood management.

Education

  • A graduate of an accredited educational program of Clinical Perfusion.
  • Cardiovascular Perfusion advanced certificate

Licenses

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)

Memberships

  • A member in good standing of the Canadian Society of Clinical Perfusion (CSCP)

Other Education and Training

  • Cardiovascular Perfusion diploma is acceptable

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to function effectively in high stress and in emergency situations
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team

  • Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
  • HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria
  • If exam not completed, must be eligible to attend the next writing of the exam.
  • Successful completion of certifying exam of Cdn Society of Clinical Perfusion.
