Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible to the Manager. As an interdisciplinary team member the therapist is required to assess, diagnose and treat children.

Education

  • Master of Speech Language Pathology (SLP)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of resources available to 0-5 population and caregivers in urban area
  • Significant experience in adult population in context of complex medical needs
  • Knowledge of needs of young children and social and environmental factors
  • Leadership abilities to provide direction to staff speech language pathologists
  • Ability to work with young children individually and in small groups
  • Promote professional development of staff and engender job satisfaction

Other Information

  • Registered/eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body
  • Experience and training with the Hanen Program is preferred.
  • Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
