Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, Mental Health & Addictions, this position provides services to adults, children and youth in the rural areas of Rosthern, Wakaw, Borden and Delisle and surrounding areas. The social worker provides services as a member of a multidisciplinary care team. Specific duties included: individual, family and group counselling. Additional duties include: community engagement and development.

  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

  • Basic - Problem solving skills
  • Advanced - Communication skills

Knowledge and Abilities

  • High degree of comfort in dealing with suicidal ideation
  • Ability to work with a variety of individuals presenting with complex issues
  • Knowledge in program and community development process
  • Knowledge in various mental disorders, etiology, treatment and intervention
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Commitment to self evaluation, professional development and ongoing self care
  • Ability to work with individuals with but not limited to concurrent disorders
