Job Description: Reporting to the Senior Dental Therapist and the Therapies Team Lead, the Dental Therapist will provide prevention services, diagnostic treatment planning, restorative/operative dental treatment, community and preventive dentistry services to children in the Dental Health Program. The incumbent specializes in stimulating, coordinating, and delivering oral health promotion activities aimed at reducing disease and promoting oral health for people in the community. Incumbents must have an ability to work independently and within multi-disciplinary teams. The incumbent will plan, develop, organize, implement and evaluate the delivery of an active preventive oral health education and promotion program within the dental professional's scope of practice.
