The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) - Saskatoon and University of Saskatchewan, Department of Psychiatry seek an adult Psychiatrist to support the Rapid Access Clinic (RAC). The Rapid Access Clinic accepts referrals for patients needing short term follow-up following ED presentation when appropriate.
Position Details:Blended FFS and contract funding. Up to 138 contract days are available (equivalent to 3 days per week for 46 weeks).

Successful candidates will hold certification or be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Psychiatry. In addition, the successful candidates must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).
This is an independent contractor position therefore benefits are the responsibility of the successful candidate.

University of Saskatchewan (USask) - The beautiful USask campus is located on the shores of the South Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon, a city with a diverse and thriving economic base and a vibrant cultural life. The USask is a research-intensive institution with 22,000 students and 7,000 faculty and staff, and a strong reputation for innovation and excellence. It is home to the newly constructed Academic Health Sciences Complex (https://healthsciences.usask.ca/) and two of the largest science projects in the country - the Canadian Light Source synchrotron (www.lightsource.ca) and the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization/International Vaccine Centre (www.vido.org). A users group is available for collaborative research with clinical faculty using the $173.5 million Canadian Light Source synchrotron, owned by USask. The College of Medicine has an intake of 100 students per year with a commensurate number of positions for residency training.
