Job Description: The Senior Dental Therapist will provide prevention services, diagnostic treatment planning, restorative/operative dental treatment, community and preventive dentistry services. The incumbent specializes in stimulating, coordinating, and delivering oral health promotion activities aimed at reducing disease and promoting oral health for people in the community. The incumbent will plan, develop, organize, implement and evaluate the delivery of an active preventive oral health education and promotion program within the oral health professional's scope of practice. This position provides supervision, program management, and direction to the Oral Health Program. The position is bound by the following legislation: Dental Disciplines Act, Saskatchewan Dental Therapists Association Bylaws and Regulations

Experience

  • 2 years' experience as a Dental Therapist

Education

  • Dental Therapy diploma

Other Education and Training

  • Dental Nurse Diploma is acceptable
