The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) - Saskatoon and University Saskatchewan, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Division of Hematopathology seek a full-time Hematological Pathologist. Training or experience in pediatric diagnosis or molecular reporting would be an asset. The Department combines academic, research and service components and has an accredited residency training program in general pathology and provides training at the undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral levels. The successful applicant will work in a multidisciplinary care environment.

The Division of Hematopathology covers various services including bone marrow pathology, flow cytometry, solid tissue hematopathology (lymph node and other), hematology core lab, coagulation, and haemoglobinopathy services and also provides training to general pathology and other residents. Hematopathologists are supported by highly active molecular pathology laboratory providing NGS panels for various myeloid and lymphoid neoplasms as well as by state-of-the-art flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry laboratories. Research opportunities are available.
Candidates must hold an MD degree, have completed specialty training in Hematological Pathology, be eligible for licensing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) and hold or be eligible for specialty certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

University of Saskatchewan- The beautiful University of Saskatchewan campus is located on the shores of the South Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon, a city with a diverse and thriving economic base and a vibrant cultural life. It is a research-intensive institution with 22,000 students and 7,000 faculty and staff, and a strong reputation for innovation and excellence. It is home to the newly constructed Academic Health Sciences Complex (http://library.usask.ca/hsl/new-building.php) and two of the largest science projects in the country - the Canadian Light Source synchrotron (www.lightsource.ca) and the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization/International Vaccine Centre (www.vido.org).
