Job Description: Reporting to the Manager of Transfusion Safety, the Immune Globulin (IG) Nurse Navigator is responsible for the assessment of clinical requests for patient IG treatments, to determine appropriateness and alignment with the IG criteria, adjusted body-weight dosing, monitoring and measuring outcomes for ongoing treatment. The Nurse Navigator will assist with the development and maintenance of a patient and prescriber registry/database, and will create and develop learning tools to educate, implement, evaluate, co-ordinate care and monitor outcomes of this program. The incumbent collaborates with multidisciplinary team members and liaises with health professionals and agencies within and external to the SHA to facilitate high quality care for Saskatchewan IG patients.

Experience

  • One (1) year of experience in adult education or a teaching role
  • Minimum of three (3) years administration of IG experience.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
