Job Description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) - Saskatoon and University of Saskatchewan, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking a full time Pediatric Respiratory Medicine specialist to join their team. The Department of Pediatrics is dedicated to providing exemplary health care for children, ensuring excellence in training of future pediatrics health care providers, undertaking meritorious research and advocating for the health and well-being of children and youth. Inpatient and outpatient pediatric respiratory medicine care is delivered in Saskatoon, we offer a provincial program that is expanding. The successful candidate will provide specialist consultative services for children of Saskatchewan. This includes an academic collaboration within the University of Saskatchewan for education and research. The specific allocation of academic deliverables can be tailored to the candidate.

Centrally located on the University of Saskatchewan campus, the new Jim Pattison Children's Hospital offers state-of-the-art equipment and facilities for children, mothers and families from across our province. We offer the full range of Pediatric Pulmonary services including a full pulmonary function lab, flexible bronchoscopy service, and a sleep lab. We collaborate with the full range of subspecialty ambulatory and inpatient services including neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, general pediatrics, pediatric emergency. Maternal services include labour and delivery, antepartum and postpartum care. The successful candidate will work in expanding a program for improving the respiratory care of Saskatchewan children. The 176-bed facility provides the highest quality of care and put Saskatchewan at the forefront of research and innovation.

Job Qualifications

Applicants in consideration will have Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification or hold eligibility to obtain certification in pediatric respiratory medicine and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).
