Job Description: This Social Work position will work with acute care patients/families, in the hospital or outpatient setting. This position works with an Interdisciplinary team of professionals to support patients and the families, as they navigate the healthcare system.

Experience

  • Preference will be given to candidates with medical social work experience

Education

  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

Memberships

  • Saskatchewan Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Knowledge in the SHA, community resources and applicable programming
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to advocate on behalf of clients, caregivers /extended family members.
  • Skilled in psycho-social assessment and the ability to work with individuals

Other Information

  • Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
  • HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria
  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
