Job Description: Reporting to the Manager or designate, the incumbent will provide services to adults who are involved in Primary Health Care programming. The Social Worker - BSW provides services as a member of a multidisciplinary team. The incumbent will work collaboratively with community groups, agencies and other professionals within the community.

Experience

  • 1 year experience in Social Work

Education

  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

  • Basic - Communication skills
  • Basic - Writing skills
  • Basic - Computer skills
  • Basic - Verbal communication skills

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work and communicate in a cross cultural setting
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to change
  • Knowledge in community resources and services in the clinical area
  • Knowledge in communication techniques and approaches
  • Knowledge of Indigenous Culture and traditions
  • Knowledge of current trends/issues/best practice strategies

  • Knowledge in ethnic and cultural diversity
