Job Description: The MSW Senior provides clinical and administrative supervision to other social workers and maintains an administrative overview of the group they supervise. In addition, the MSW Senior makes recommendations to the Manager about systems issues. The MSW Senior has responsibility for professional psychosocial assessment and intervention in very complex situations with chronic issues pre-dating current health concerns. The position requires advanced assessment and intervention skills for work with individuals, families and groups, in issues involving social, emotional and instrumental aspects. The MSW Senior offers a professional working relationship, including an understanding of the social work role, and of the SHA philosophy, objectives and policies. The MSW Senior also exercises a range of intervention skills related to a number of conceptual models and receives clinical supervision and administrative direction from the Manager.
