Job Description

Saskatchewan Health Authority - Saskatoon and University Saskatchewan, Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery seek a vascular and Endovascular Surgeon to join their team. Collective responsibilities include clinical care of inpatients and outpatients as well as education of undergraduate and postgraduate trainees. The successful candidate will have appointments in both Saskatchewan Health Authority and the University of Saskatchewan, where teaching of surgical residents and medical students is integral.

The candidate will have demonstrated expertise in both open and endovascular surgery including aneurysm repair (open, EVAR, and TEVAR), peripheral revascularization (open and endovascular including thrombolysis), renal access, carotid disease, trauma, and varicose vein. The candidate will have an active interest in research, and strive towards further developing the research activities of the division and the department. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated interdisciplinary competence as demonstrated by active participation in multidisciplinary rounds. St. Paul's Hospital serves as the vascular centre for Central and Northern Saskatchewan. The vascular surgeons have an in-hospital practice as contracted surgeons. Shared proportionate vascular surgery call is required.

Job Qualifications

Candidates must be certified or be eligible for certification in Vascular Surgery with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan
