Job Description

We are seeking individual candidates and/or clinics to provide the following services:

  • Majority of time will be dedicated to supporting the NP's according to what each NP requires eg/ co-seeing patients, Quality Improvement (QI), chart review and will evolve with the position and clinic development
  • See patients as required or same day type appointment if no NP is available or if support for the NP is required. Priority is to support NP.
  • Attend to urgent patient chart reviews or urgent patient consults within 7 days of receipt. All others should be completed within 3 weeks
  • See NP-consulted patients if required
  • Follow up with the consulting NP as required for QI/education
  • Provide telephone consultation to NP's in Borden and Delisle
  • The physicians will not hold a panel. Follow up processes will be covered by the NPs (After hour labs etc…)
  • QI initiatives - reviewing practice as requested and supporting learning and growth of clinic teams. This may include safety reviews/incidents as required
  • Attend meetings with SHA colleagues approximately once monthly with the designated Physicians for each clinic site
  • Actively engage in project work such as clinic evolution/design/advancement
  • Utilize the clinic EMR (Med Access)

Job Qualifications

The candidate will hold certification or be eligible for certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). Successful applicants will be eligible for a provisional or regular license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) to practice in Saskatchewan and be able to obtain and maintain membership on the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) practitioner staff.
