Job Description: Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the Unit Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day operations and patient/resident flow of the integrated facility. The incumbent will facilitate the encouragement of critical thinking skills of the nursing staff as they are fostered to work to their full scope of practice.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Licenses

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)

Competencies

  • Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Demonstrates effective leadership and management skills
  • Ability to make decisions, which must include coordination of staffing
  • Ability to competently use computers and software applications
