Job Description: Responds to emergent and non-emergent calls for service within the community and provides assessment, treatment and transportation in adherence Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations and organization policies, procedures and protocols.

Education

  • Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 4 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
  • International Trauma Life Support Advanced Certificate (ITLS)

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.

Other Information

  • HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria
  • Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
  • Registered/eligible with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at ACP/EMT-P
