Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse Practitioner $52.590 to $62.910

Job Description: Provide primary health care services to the community, which includes health promotion and protection, disease and injury prevention, and provision of supportive, instructive treatment. implement therapeutic interventions (including pharmacotheraputic) for chronic, stable and common conditions. Utilize and synthesize from multiple sources appropriate health assessment and differential diagnosis of client/patient status. Assess need for ordering and interpreting appropriate laboratory, radiology and ultrasound diagnostic tests. Work in conjunction with the client, family and health providers to develop and implement holistic treatment, interventions and support. Be part of a diverse interdisciplinary team in the community of Whitecap Dakota and surrounding areas. May work with teams at other primary health centres. Provide educational support for students including nursing, medicine and other disciplines. Will support and participate in multi level chronic disease management strategies (individual, family and community). Assist individuals, families and communities to increase knowledge, control and influence of health determinants in the maintenance and improvement of their health status. Work with health care, community and intersectoral partners such as Public Health, Sask Learning, Department Of Community Resources and Employment. Support and assist in the development/implementation of quality initiatives to benefit service delivery models. Contribute to research activities.

Experience

  • Two (2) years advanced RN (NP) in applicable area
  • Three years fulltime experience as a Registered Nurse

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
