The community of Yorkton, located in Southeast Saskatchewan, is actively recruiting a General Ophthalmologist. This position provides the candidate with the opportunity to operate their own outpatient private practice and utilize the Yorkton Regional Health Centre for procedures. As part of the local team, the candidate will provide surgical, inpatient, and emergency services at the Yorkton Regional Health Center. Itinerant ophthalmology services may be required throughout the southeast area of the province. On-call coverage is required.

Equipment funding and Residency/Fellowship training funding may be available through the Hospital Foundation of South Central Saskatchewan in exchange for a Return for Service. Inquire for details. Residents in years 3 to 5 are encouraged to reach out prior to completion of their program to discuss residency funding options.

The referral population for our specialty services is approximately 100,000; the area extends itself north, south and east across the Manitoba border. Over 50 Family Physicians and about a dozen Optometrists may do referrals to this specialty.
