Term Full-Time Position - (1.0 FTE)

November 12, 2024 - March 31, 2025

This position is at the L09 level with an hourly pay range of $49.73 - $66.42

Reporting to the Operations Leader, Registered Nurses administer and implement medical and therapeutic programs ordered by the physician; develop, and implement individualized nursing care plans; and provide emergency care for stabilization of multiple trauma or critically ill medical/obstetrical patients until medical evacuation can be arranged. As team members, through the provision of treatment services and health education, the incumbent fosters an environment in which clients can achieve and maintain optimal health. Duties include: providing inpatient and outpatient/emergency care for the patient; assisting with planning; implementing and evaluating a comprehensive family service; and performing other related duties which contribute to the optimal functioning of the unit.

The successful candidate should have a Diploma/Baccalaureate degree in Nursing; be currently registered with Yukon Registered Nurses Association (YRNA); and have current C.P.R certification, a valid Yukon Driver's License and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate. Certification in A.C.L.S., N.R.P, and T.N.C.C would be desirable. A minimum of (2) two - (3) three years of experience in acute care nursing is required for this position. Emergency Nursing experience would be considered an asset.
