The Department of Justice is working to ensure Yukon remains a safe, secure, and healthy place to live and work. The Family Law Information Centre (FLIC) is an office of the Court Services Branch of the Yukon Department of Justice that provides information on family law issues and court procedures.

Reporting to the Manager, Family Law Support Programs provides legal information to the public regarding family law matters; provides referrals for the public to various agencies and services; explains court process and provides statistical and other information on the operation of the F.L.I.C. as required.

Essential Qualifications

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications. Please note selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • Successful completion of post-secondary program in business, office, or legal administration;
  • Excellent experience working in a customer service environment.
  • Experience performing administrative functions, preferably in a legal environment;
  • Experience researching, interpreting and applying legislation.

Candidates who have education/coursework and/or training along with considerable experience in the essential qualification listed above may be equally considered.

  • Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills;
  • Ability to provide service with tact and diplomacy in a confidential setting.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Job Requirements: Obtain Notary Public within 12 months of employment
