F.H. Collins Secondary originally opened in 1963 and offers a broad range of academic and extra-curricular activities to Yukon students. The School Receptionist- Secretary is the first point of contact for all students, parents, staff, and visitors. This position provides reception, clerical, and administrative support to the School Administration, teaching staff and student body to ensure the efficient operation of the school. They are responsible for welcoming visitors, tracking attendance, and processing a variety of correspondence, mail outs, and other documentation.

Essential Qualifications

  • Recent experience working in a reception/secretary position providing service to the public
  • Experience performing routine clerical tasks such as answering phones, data entry, processing mail, or photocopying.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Outlook
  • Experience in working in a school environment may be considered an asset

Additional information

Conditions of Employment:

  • Security Clearance, including Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Standard First Aid (willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire)

Job Requirements:

  • This position works onsite in a school environment.
