As part of the Quality and Strategy division, this position works closely with Executive and Senior Management team members, mid-level department managers, direct care/operations personnel and medical staff throughout the organization to continually strive to improve organizational capacity, service and quality, and business processes to achieve outcomes identified our strategic, operational, safety and quality plans. The highest degree of confidentially is a priority as the position collects, analyzes, and reports information of a confidential and sensitive nature in terms of both patient, employee, and business data and processes. Decisions made by the incumbent will impact programs and care delivery across the organization through the decision documents, background papers, policies, standards, processes and procedures developed and recommended by the position. To ensure YHC is compliant with all legislation and standards, the incumbent must be familiar with many Yukon Government Acts, Accreditation Standards, Collective Agreements, High Priority Processes and Required Organizational Practices. Applies the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion to any policy or decision analysis as well as ensures our programs, services, policies and decisions advance reconciliation and culturally safe hospital care.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :
The successful candidate will have a Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related area such as health, social services, public policy or business administration. A minimum of 5 years' experience in policy analysis/development or research preferably in hospital or healthcare environment and a minimum of 2 years' experience in the application of regulatory/legislated requirements preferably in privacy management and access to information. A professional certification or master's degree in a health service discipline and Project management training or certification and Completion of privacy management training preferred. Completion of Yukon First Nations 101 or equivalent cultural competency education is preferred.
